Lunch Cover Assistant (Maternity Cover 12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Whether you're returning to Early Years, looking to build your experience, or simply searching for a rewarding part-time role, we'd love to welcome you to Wildflower Marston Day Nursery & Preschool.

We're looking for a warm, reliable and enthusiastic Lunch Cover Practitioner to join our friendly team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, working 10:00am 2:00pm. You'll support children and colleagues across the nursery during one of the busiest (and most important!) parts of the day, helping create calm, happy mealtimes and plenty of smiles along the way.

As a private nursery, this role is all year round, offering consistent hours throughout the year.

Whether you're Level 2 or Level 3 qualified, or have valuable childcare experience and a genuine passion for helping children thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing (AKA: The Lunchtime Magic)

Helping children enjoy happy, relaxed and positive mealtimes.
Supporting children with personal care, handwashing and daily routines.
Encouraging independence and good eating habits while making lunchtime enjoyable.
Jumping into different rooms across the nursery wherever an extra pair of hands is needed.
Sharing stories, conversations and play before and after lunch.
Working alongside a friendly, supportive team to ensure every child feels cared for and included.
Bringing kindness, patience and plenty of smiles to every part of the day.
