Cartha Queens Park Rugby Football Club seeks to appoint a Club Steward to manage the Bar and Clubhouse facility. The successful applicant will have experience of running a bar facility and organising the rota and supervising the other bar staff. The ability to control and order stock and manage cash and card transactions together with preparing regular reports for the Committee of the club. In addition to serving drinks and occasional foodstuffs the Club Steward will monitor the cleaning of the club and liaise with its regular suppliers.
This post is offered on a part-time basis (22 hours per week) and will require some evening and weekend work. The salary for the post is £16,588 per annum. There may be an opportunity for overtime.
The Club Steward will interact with the various sections of the club and its volunteers who provide rugby training and playing opportunities for boys, girls, men and women as well as regular social functions held throughout the year. The club has a regular set of supporters and parents who make use of the facilities throughout the year. There are also other external groups who book the use of the facility.
The club is managed by an Executive Committee and has a Bar Convenor who acts as line manager for this position.
