Full job description

Overview
We are looking for a confident and motivated Junior Hair Stylist to join our busy and friendly salon team. This role is ideal for a stylist with prior salon experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, working independently with clients while continuing to develop their skills.

You will be responsible for maintaining and growing your own clientele, delivering high-quality cutting, colouring, and styling services, and supporting the wider team. A strong passion for hairdressing, excellent customer service, and up-to-date knowledge of current trends are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver professional hair services including cutting, colouring, and styling to a high standard
Build, maintain, and grow your own client base through excellent service and client relationships
Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable styles and treatments
Assist senior stylists when required while continuing to develop your technical skills
Manage appointments, client records, and daily schedules efficiently
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace in line with salon standards
Uphold high standards of hygiene, health, and safety
Promote and upsell salon services and retail products confidently

Skills & Experience

Previous salon experience is essential
Competence in cutting, colouring, and styling hair
Strong client care and communication skills
Confidence in managing your own column and delivering services independently
A proactive attitude towards building and retaining clientele
Good time management and organisational skills
Professional appearance and a friendly, approachable manner
Willingness to learn and stay current with trends and techniques

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
