At ABC Industrial Doors, we're growing, and we're looking for a motivated, commercially minded Estimator & Bid Coordinator to join our team in Irlam.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in securing new business, supporting major projects, and helping deliver exceptional service to our customers.
You'll be at the heart of the business, preparing accurate quotations, coordinating tender submissions, and working closely with our operations, sales and service teams.
What You'll Be Doing Estimating
✔ Preparing quotations and cost estimates for industrial door, automatic door and service works.
✔ Reviewing site surveys, drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
✔ Obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing.
✔ Producing accurate and competitive quotations.
✔ Managing estimate records and quotation follow-ups.
✔ Identifying opportunities for additional works and business growth.
Bid Coordination
✔ Managing tender opportunities from enquiry through to submission.
✔ Preparing professional bid and tender documents.
✔ Coordinating information from internal departments.
✔ Ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time.
✔ Maintaining bid libraries, accreditations and supporting documentation.
✔ Supporting the company's growth strategy through successful tender management.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Previous experience in estimating, tendering, bid coordination or a similar commercial role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Desirable
- Experience within industrial doors, automatic doors, construction, facilities management or engineering.
- Knowledge of tender portals and procurement processes.
