Teesside University is seeking applications for the role of Associate Dean (Marketing & Recruitment) to take on a wide portfolio supporting health, science and medical education in the School of Health & Life Sciences.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the School Executive Team, responsible for shaping and delivering the School’s marketing and student recruitment strategy, driving sustainable growth, and enhancing the University’s reputation.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Dean, the successful candidate will lead the strategic development and delivery of marketing and recruitment activity, ensuring achievement of student recruitment targets across undergraduate and postgraduate provision. You will work closely with the University’s Student Recruitment & Marketing department and senior colleagues to optimise performance against key metrics including applications, conversion, retention, employability and student satisfaction.
As a member of the School Executive Team, you will contribute to wider leadership, planning and performance, supporting delivery of the School’s Five-Year Plan and the University’s Corporate Strategy.
About You
You will be an experienced academic leader with:
A higher degree (PhD or equivalent) and a strong academic profile- Extensive knowledge of the UK higher education sector and the health context
- Significant experience in student recruitment, marketing strategy and data-driven decision-making
- A proven track record of leading teams and delivering against strategic objectives
- The ability to influence, collaborate and lead change across complex organisation.
- You will combine academic credibility with strategic insight and a strong understanding of the competitive recruitment landscape.
