Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking 2 reliable and diligent Part Time School Cleaners to join our team. There are 2 positions available, both 10 hours per week Mon-Fri 15:30-17:30, 40 weeks per year pro rata. To start the end of August. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors. Suitable for those seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on attention to detail and professionalism. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Clean and disinfect classrooms, hallways, toilets, and common areas to uphold high standards of hygiene
Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces regularly
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel promptly

Skills

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
Good organisational skills to manage daily cleaning tasks effectively
Reliable with a professional attitude and excellent time management skills
Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health and safety guidelines
