Job Title: Stock Appraisal Surveyor
Salary: £40,214 per annum, plus essential care user allowance
Location: Stafford/Telford - Hybrid
Hours: 36 hours per week

A day in the life
As a Stock Appraisal Surveyor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our housing stock. Your responsibilities will include:

Undertaking Decent Homes stock condition surveys on existing rented housing stock using electronic stock survey tools

Checking, updating and validating stock condition data

Assessing properties against Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) criteria

Supporting the accuracy and integrity of asset data

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a customer-focused approach. You will have:

The ability to inspect properties and supervise building works with minimal supervision (essential)
-
Experience of completing site surveys, validation of stock data and compiling site layout drawings and specification briefs. (essential)

Strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, tenants and contractors (essential)
-
Experience managing customer satisfaction and resolving complaints efficiently (essential)

Confidence using and updating computerised asset management systems (essential)

A solid understanding of construction principles and contract administration (essential)

The ability to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals (essential)

Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements within the construction industry (essential)
