About the Job
This Family Solicitor job offers the opportunity to manage a varied private family law caseload within a busy and supportive team environment. The Family Solicitor will be responsible for handling matters from instruction through to resolution, including court representation and client care across a range of emotionally sensitive cases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters including divorce, financial remedy and private children disputes
- Conducting own advocacy in court hearings and representing clients effectively in proceedings
- Progressing matters from initial instruction through to settlement or final hearing with minimal supervision
- Drafting applications, statements and legal documents with a high level of accuracy and clarity
- Liaising with clients, counsel and third parties to progress matters efficiently and maintain strong client care standards
- Supporting compliance processes and ensuring files are maintained in line with regulatory requirements
- Identifying and progressing opportunities for settlement through negotiation and alternative dispute resolution
- Contributing to the smooth running of the Family Solicitor workload within the wider team in Stoke-On-Trent
