Looking for a fresh start in food?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Buffalo & Co Kitchen as we expand our offering and launch breakfast service alongside our popular lunch menu.

Based on a busy, family-run working farm in the Staffordshire Moorlands, Buffalo & Co is a true farm-to-fork business. Our water buffalo are raised on-site, meaning there are no food miles, no unnecessary transport and complete traceability from field to customer.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with kitchen experience who is looking for a change from traditional hospitality. You don't need to be a fine dining chef. We are looking for a capable cook who enjoys preparing quality food, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a growing local business.

The menu is already developed, tested and costed. Full training and ongoing mentoring will be provided. Your focus will be preparing and serving a premium product consistently and efficiently.

IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE

About the Role

Working from our fully fitted commercial kitchen, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of service, preparing breakfast and lunch products, maintaining high standards, and creating a great experience for customers.

The role includes:

Preparing and serving breakfast and lunch products
Taking customer orders and serving customers
Managing kitchen service during opening hours
Maintaining food hygiene and cleanliness standards
Managing stock and kitchen organisation
Taking ownership of a small, easy-to-manage kitchen
Ensuring every customer receives a quality product

During busier periods you'll have support from an additional team member assisting with orders and service.

The Setting

This isn't your average kitchen job.

You'll be working on a busy, family-run farm where there is always something going on. The site welcomes trade customers, farm shop visitors, tourists, families and local regulars throughout the week.

Surrounded by animals, countryside and farming life, it's a refreshing change from the four walls of a traditional restaurant kitchen.

Experience working in a kitchen, café, food truck, pub or similar food environment
Professional, reliable and punctual
Passionate about good food and quality ingredients
Comfortable working independently
Friendly and confident with customers
Someone who takes pride in keeping standards high

Working Hours

The kitchen opens Thursday to Sunday, with time built in before and after service for preparation and close-down.

Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
