Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to work weekends in our new Outlet Shop in Cheadle. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop organisational and sales skills while providing exceptional service to our diverse customer base. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining merchandising displays, and contributing to a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs
Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organised
Assist customers with product information and answer queries effectively
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments
Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and organised throughout the shift
Support inventory management by conducting stock checks and assisting with stock replenishment

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Strong communication skills
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Ability to demonstrate organisational skills through maintaining tidy displays and stock levels
Good phone etiquette and professional demeanour when interacting with customers via phone or in person
Ability to sell products confidently while prioritising customer satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment and also on your own and adapt quickly to changing priorities
