Sales Assistant – Tile Showroom

Location: Stockenchurch

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our tile showroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, has an eye for design, and is passionate about helping people create beautiful spaces.

As a Sales Assistant, you will assist customers in selecting tiles and related products for their homes and projects while providing excellent customer service. You will also support the day-to-day running of the showroom and work closely with the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and assist customers visiting the showroom.
Provide advice on tile styles, colours, sizes, and suitable products.
Prepare quotations and process sales orders.
Maintain a clean, organised, and attractive showroom display.
Receive, check, and organise stock deliveries.
Assist with loading customer orders when required.
Support colleagues with general showroom and warehouse duties.
Answer telephone and email enquiries professionally.
Build positive relationships with customers, contractors, and trade clients.

What We’re Looking For

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Previous retail or sales experience is preferred but not essential.
An interest in interior design, home improvement, or construction is an advantage.
Comfortable with occasional lifting and moving tile samples or stock.
