We are seeking reliable and professional Taxi Drivers to join our team.
You MUST have a valid Taxi Badge issued by Torbay Council before you can start work, see bottom of advert for further details if you haven't got a badge.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their desired destinations while ensuring a pleasant and efficient travel experience.
Duties:
- Safely drive passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and well-organised vehicle, ensuring it meets all safety/ licensing standards.
- Communicate effectively with the company as well as passengers, providing information about routes and local attractions.
- Assist passengers with heavy luggage or other items as/if needed.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger details.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the taxi is in good working condition.
- Handle cash and electronic payments securely.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for taxi operation.
- Good time keeping skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with passengers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers with luggage.
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.
- Plated Vehicle: You can use your own vehicle if acceptable for plating by Torbay Council, alternatively Bay Taxi's has a fleet of vehicles and can organise a rental agreement for one of our plated vehicles, subject to availability.

Shift Pattern includes a variety of: Mornings/ Afternoons/ Evenings/ Weekends.

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
