Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, providing excellent service to patrons while ensuring the bar operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. All roles are paid positions, including internships, and offer valuable experience within the food and beverage industry.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar
Prepare and pour a variety of beverages, including alcohol and non-alcoholic options
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards
Check identification to verify legal drinking age
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Restock bar supplies as needed throughout shifts
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning or end of shifts

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Strong serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude
Good organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
