Freelance Studio Photographer – Meadowside Studio Stafford

Hours: Approx. 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Start Date: Autumn / ASAP once studio setup is ready
Meadowside Studio started in Warrington in 2020 and has grown into a popular children’s portrait studio specialising in 1st Birthday Cake Smash & Splash sessions, family portraits and seasonal mini shoots.
We are now expanding into Stafford this autumn and are looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable freelance studio photographer to join us as part of this exciting new studio setup.
This role is ideal for someone looking to supplement their income with part-time freelance studio work. It would suit an experienced photographer who enjoys working with children and families, is confident using studio strobe lighting, and is happy working independently in a small but growing studio.
About the Role
You’ll mainly be photographing Cake Smash & Splash sessions, with occasional family portraits and seasonal mini sessions. You’ll be creating a fun, relaxed and professional experience for families while capturing beautiful milestone images of little ones.
This is a hands-on role that needs someone patient, bubbly and confident with children — basically part photographer, part entertainer, part professional smile-generator.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Photographing Cake Smash & Splash sessions
- Photographing occasional family and seasonal mini sessions
- Using studio strobe lighting confidently
- Working with DSLR or mirrorless camera equipment
- Making families feel relaxed and welcome
- Helping babies and children feel comfortable during sessions
- Keeping the studio space tidy and presentable
- Working independently on shoot days
- Representing Meadowside Studio in a friendly and professional way
About You
- Experienced studio photographer with a strong portfolio
- Confident using studio strobe lighting
- Comfortable photographing babies, toddlers and families
- Friendly, patient, energetic and great with children
- Reliable, professional and self-motivated
- Confident working independently
- Strong customer service skills
- Looking for part-time freelance work to supplement existing income
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time freelance position
- Mainly weekend availability required
- Additional weekday dates may become available as the studio grows
- Extra days may be available during busy seasonal periods such as Christmas, Easter and themed mini sessions
Day rate: £120 per day
