Nursery: Children 1st Meir Park, 2 Lysander Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST3 7TW
Hours: Casual/Bank, variable hours, Monday-Friday, Full Time and Part Time
Salary: Up to £13.30 dependent on qualifications and experience

How you’ll spend your time here

You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.

You'll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.

You’re a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

We also consider unqualified Educators, so if you can demonstrate the right values, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for caring for and supporting others, we’d love to hear from you. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Desirable, but not essential

A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment. If you think you've got the right attitude and abilities, submit an application, who knows it might be the best thing you ever did. Nothing ventured nothing gained!)
Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous
Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
