About Emma Bridgewater
At Emma Bridgewater, we create beautifully crafted pottery that helps celebrate life's everyday moments. From mugs and bowls to plates and serving pieces, our products are proudly made in Stoke-on-Trent by talented people who care about quality, craftsmanship and creativity.
As a proud Certified B Corporation, we're committed to balancing purpose with profit by investing in our people, supporting our communities and creating products that are made to be loved for generations. If you're looking to develop your skills within a creative manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
We're looking for a Decorator to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Decorating Department, where your primary focus will be Lithographing - carefully applying decorative transfers to our ceramic products before they are fired in the kiln. You'll receive full training in our specialist techniques and will also have the opportunity to become multi-skilled by learning our Sponge Decorating process.
Working hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
What You'll Be Doing
- Applying decorative transfers (lithographs) to ceramic products with accuracy and precision.
- Following design specifications to ensure every product meets our quality standards.
- Using specialist tools and techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the decorating process.
- Working at a consistent pace while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Full training will be provided, so previous ceramics experience is not essential. However, we're looking for people with good manual dexterity, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will complete a practical trade test in both Lithographing and Sponge Decorating before being invited to interview.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and precision.
- An interest in creative, practical or craft-based work.
- The ability to work at a steady pace while maintaining accuracy.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
