Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Amtico Fitter to join our team, specialising in the installation of Amtico flooring. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of flooring installation techniques, with a focus on precision and quality. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, delivering high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the seamless fitting of Amtico flooring in various settings, adhering to safety and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and ensuring suitability for flooring installation
- Measure and cut Amtico flooring accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Install flooring according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to secure flooring in place
- Ensure all installations are level, aligned, and finished to a high standard
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment during and after installation
- Collaborate with clients and team members to meet project deadlines and specifications
- Conduct inspections post-installation to verify quality and durability of the fitment
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation, preferably with Amtico or similar products
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to handling flooring materials and tools
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as cutters, chisels, levels, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools including saws, drills, and grinders
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability on-site
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential

Pay: £37,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
