Are you ready to take on a rewarding HR role where no two days are the same?
We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Regional HR Advisor to join our People Experience team on a 6 month fixed term contract basis.
You’ll play a key role in supporting our sites across the South East and outskirts of London, providing professional HR advice, coaching managers, and partnering closely with leaders to deliver practical, people-driven solutions that make a real impact.
This is a regional role that combines operational delivery with strategic influence. You’ll spend around two to three days per week visiting sites, with the remainder of your time spent working remotely. A company vehicle will be provided for travel between sites.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide expert, trusted HR advice across a wide range of employee relation cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and capability – ensuring fair, consistent and legally sound outcomes.
- Owning ER Case work end to end offering proactive support and coaching to managers and helping to build confidence and capability in handling sensitive people matters.
- Championing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to exit, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive colleague experience.
- Coaching and upskilling managers to strengthen their people management skills, with a particular focus on ER capability and confident decision-making.
- Partnering with operational teams to build strong, trust-based relationships and foster a culture of accountability, fairness, and open communication
- Using ER data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement in policies, processes, and manager training.
- Ensuring compliance with employment law and internal policies, applying a pragmatic and balanced approach that protects both the business and its people
- Managing HR administration with precision and care—strong organisation and record-keeping are essential, especially in a fast-paced environment without a case management system.
- Contributing to wider HR initiatives, bringing fresh ideas, a strategic mindset, and a passion for improving the colleague experience
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor role with broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of Employment Law and practical experience handling ER cases end-to-end
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills across all levels
- Confident using HR systems, we use Workday (HRIS), Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint
- A data-driven and commercially minded approach to problem solving
- The ability to balance operational delivery with strategic thinking
- A full UK driving licence (essential) and willingness to travel regularly across the region
- Experience in the logistics or distribution sector would be advantageous but not essential
