Full job description

Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established law firm in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. This is a full-time, permanent job, offering an excellent opportunity to join a respected conveyancing team. Based in Stratford-upon-Avon, this position provides varied responsibilities, ongoing development opportunities and the chance to build a long-term career within a supportive and collaborative legal environment.

About the Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting the smooth operation of a busy conveyancing team while helping to deliver an excellent client experience. This is a varied and fast-paced job that combines client contact, case progression support and administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing competing priorities and working proactively within a professional legal environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a key point of contact for clients and third parties on behalf of the conveyancing team
Supporting the progression of conveyancing matters under supervision and within agreed parameters
Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues and external contacts
Providing professional assistance to clients both in person and over the telephone
Supporting the wider department and assisting colleagues when required
Assisting with the induction and training of new team members where appropriate
Managing appointments, meetings and diary commitments for fee earners
Preparing correspondence and legal documentation using case management systems
Opening new files and completing file closure procedures
Handling telephone enquiries, taking accurate messages and following up where required
Maintaining organised filing systems and ensuring records remain up to date
Undertaking document production, copying and general administrative tasks
Ensuring confidential information is handled securely and in accordance with firm procedures
Completing additional duties and training activities as required

About You

To be successful in this Conveyancing Assistant job, you will already have experience within a legal support environment and be confident managing a varied workload. You will be comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative member of the wider team. Strong client care skills and a proactive approach are essential for this opportunity.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

Previous experience working within a legal support, legal secretary, legal assistant or conveyancing assistant position
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Ability to work independently and use initiative when managing responsibilities
Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail with strong spelling and grammar skills
Professional and effective communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
Positive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support others
