Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer – Midlands Region

Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience) Employment Type: Full‑time Training: Full training and development provided

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, motivated Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team, supporting a portfolio of sites across the Midlands region. The role involves routine servicing, fault finding, repairs, and ensuring systems remain fully compliant with BS 5839‑1.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer looking for a new challenge, or a junior engineer/technician with electrical or fire/security experience who wants to develop their skills — full training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
Diagnose and repair system faults
Complete service reports and compliance documentation
Work independently or as part of a team depending on site requirements
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
Ensure all works meet relevant standards and safety requirements

Requirements

Experience with fire alarm systems is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of BS 5839‑1 is beneficial
Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Good communication and customer‑facing skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
