Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Production & Development Coordinator to join our growing team. You will be the engine room of the business, sitting at the intersection of Design, Sales, and Manufacture. You will manage the lifecycle of a garment from the initial techpack stage through to final delivery, ensuring that both our in-house brand and our white-label customers receive high-quality goods, on time and on budget.
1. Production & Critical Path Management
- Own and update the Critical Path daily, ensuring all stakeholders (factories, designers, and customers) are meeting their deadlines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for factories, managing daily correspondence to troubleshoot production delays.
- Coordinate "Goods In" schedules with the Warehouse Operative to ensure the studio is prepared for deliveries.
2. Technical Development & Quality Control
- Review and issue Techpacks to factories for seasonal ranges and white-label orders.
- Manage the Sampling Process: request, track, and measure proto-samples, fit samples, and gold seals.
- Provide clear, concise fit comments and construction amendments to factories.
- Quality control (QC) of bulk shipments to ensure they match approved "Gold Seal" standards.
3. Order Admin & Costing
- Negotiate garment costs with factories to maintain target margins.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and manage the administrative flow of sales orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory data, booking in stock as it arrives and updating internal systems.
4. Customer Liaison (White Label)
- Support the Founder in managing white-label accounts by providing customers with weekly production status reports.
- Handle order queries and ensure client-specific packaging/labeling requirements are met.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 1–3 years in a garment production, product development, or wholesale admin role.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and the end-to-end manufacturing process.
- Organization: A "spreadsheet wizard" with an obsession for deadlines and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical details clearly to overseas factories (where English may be a second language).
- Software: Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. Experience with ERP systems or Shopify is a plus.
Key Attributes
- Calm under pressure: You thrive when managing multiple moving parts and tight deadlines.
- Commercial Mindset: You understand that a 2-day delay in shipping has a direct impact on the bottom line.
- Adaptable: As a small team, you are willing to "muck in"—whether that’s helping with a large shipment or refining a techpack.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to see the full "360" of the fashion industry. You will have a direct impact on the growth of an independent brand and gain experience in the fast-paced world of white-label manufacturing.
