We are seeking a skilled welder with experience of structural welding.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and standards.
- Safe operation and use of various power tools.
- Ability to work according to instructions from the Works Manager.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineers’ drawings.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions from a Weld Procedure Specification (WPS)
- Ensure proper cleanliness and fit-up of steels before welding.
- Experience in Structural welding of steel grades and below.
- Ability to weld single and multi-run fillet welds in flat/horizontal positions.
- Ability to complete butt welds in flat/horizontal positions.
- Conduct 100% visual inspection of all welds.
- Identify and repair sub-standard welds as necessary
- Lifting, turning, and moving heavy structural steel loads with cranes
- Experience required: MIG welding: 2 years minimum
Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday 7 a.m - 15:30 p.m
Fri 7 a.m - 12 noon
Overtime as required
