Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. All positions are paid, including internship opportunities, and offer the chance to develop key skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually as required
Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during service
Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of dining areas throughout shifts
Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Manage billing processes accurately and efficiently at the end of each service period
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is beneficial
Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be advantageous
Ability to demonstrate excellent time management skills in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with guests and team members
