Overview
We are seeking a skilled Panel Wireman/woman to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical panels and control systems in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical panels and control systems according to technical specifications and drawings
- Wire components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) components
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of assembled panels to ensure functionality and safety standards are met
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve assembly or wiring issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical assembly or wiring within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised wiring equipment
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical principles, and safety standards
- Experience working with electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding component integration and system layout
