Alora Vets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and progressive small animal practice, ideally located just off the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Working alongside our Clinical Director and Lead Veterinary Surgeon, both of whom hold certificates in Small Animal Medicine and Dentistry, you'll benefit from a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and professional development are actively encouraged.
Practice Highlights
- Purpose-built small animal practice conveniently located between Glasgow and Edinburgh
- Experienced clinical leadership with certificate holders in Small Animal Medicine and Dentistry
- Modern facilities including digital radiography, dental radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, acupuncture and physiotherapy services
- Team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons supported by 4.5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Head RVN, Practice Manager, 2 Animal Care Assistants, Head Receptionist and 4 Receptionists
- Strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration and clinical excellence
- Regular clinical and non-clinical meetings to review cases, discuss protocols and support continuous improvement
- Varied first-opinion caseload with clinical freedom and excellent team support
As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Working Pattern
- 40 hours per week across 4 days
- Working hours of 8:30am–6:30pm
- 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am–1:00pm)
- Friday off following your Saturday morning as time off in lieu
- No out-of-hours responsibilities, with emergency care provided by dedicated Vets Now teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh
- Part-time applications welcomed for the right candidate
