Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hoof Trimming Assistant to support our team in providing essential hoof care services for livestock. This role involves assisting with hoof trimming procedures, maintaining equipment. Responsibilities
- Assist with hoof trimming procedures under supervision, ensuring animal safety and comfort
- Prepare and maintain tools and equipment, including hand tools and power tools used in hoof care
- Support the team in handling livestock safely during trimming sessions
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning tools and equipment after use
- Help with warehouse organisation, including storing supplies and managing inventory of tools and materials
- Perform heavy lifting when required, such as moving livestock or equipment around the farm premises
Skills
- Previous experience working with live stock
- a full UK driving licence
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during daily tasks
- Strong organisational skills to maintain a tidy work area and manage multiple responsibilities
- Good communication skills as well as good time keeping and willingness to work
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform demanding tasks throughout the day
