We're looking for an experienced Emergency Care Nurse or Paramedic to join our growing team at Petersfield Urgent Treatment Centre this summer. If you have strong communication skills, a passion for learning, and a commitment to high-quality care, we'd love to hear from you.
Our practitioner-led service operates 08:00-20:00, 365 days a year, treating minor injuries and illnesses for adults and children (1+), via NHS 111 or walk-in.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
- To assist in the delivery of effective minor injury / minor illness service to patients within the community hospital setting, utilising an evidence-based approach.
- Complete an initial triage assessment of patients attending the department, in line with national and local guidelines and pathways.
- Ensure employment of effective risk management.
- Support the clinical lead in meeting the department aims and objectives.
**Uphold all standards as identified by the NMC (Code of Professional Conduct) or HCPC (Proficiency Standards and Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics),
- Be familiar with use of early warning scores, to be used as part of the patient's initial assessment. NEWS2 is currently used in HIOWH
- Demonstrate knowledge of COSHH guidelines, IPC guidelines and Health & Safety legislation.
- To comply with requirements for revalidation with the NMC / re-registering with HCPC.
- Partake in annual appraisal and produce a personal development plan.
- To undertake clinical supervision in accordance with trust policy.
- Identify training needs as part of continuing professional development.
- To always work within the policies and protocols of HIOWH
- To be clinically skilled and up to date in all mandatory training requirements, including ILS and Paediatric ILS.
