The Overview

Location: East London
Hours: 36-45 hours
Work times: Between 9:00am-6:00pm
Salary: £36,000
Annual Leave: 32 days

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join the vibrant team at our award-winning nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for a childcare professional who is committed to supporting young children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within a nurturing and inspiring environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences while building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

The Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through high-quality care
Observe, assess, and maintain accurate records of children’s progress and daily activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for each child
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Support daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, naps, and play sessions
Act as a positive role model within the nursery team and contribute to a strong team culture

The Requirements

A Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education
Expert knowledge of the EYFS framework
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
1+ years of experience in childcare
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently.
Compassionate approach to working with young children, showing patience and understanding.
