The role:
To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records service to patients within a ward environment. The role involves ensuring that patients' health records are administered and processed accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS)

Shift pattern - Monday & Friday 8.00-15.42

Base location - Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Key responsibilities:
- Provide Health Records support within ward environments.

Ensure accurate administration and processing of patient health records.

Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.

Cover administrative duties across multiple wards when required.

Receive and assist patients attending the ward.

Answer telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently.

Book appointments as required.

Maintain and update patient demographic information on the patient management system.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Previous clerical and/or reception experience.

Experience working with the general public in a customer service environment.

Good organisational skills.

Good keyboard and IT skills.

Strong communication skills.

Proficiency in the use of computer systems.
