Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Cleaner / Cleaning Team Member to join our team on a permanent basis.
This is a new role within the business and would suit someone who enjoys working to a high standard, notices the small details, and takes satisfaction from seeing a space looking its best.
The role will involve cleaning and maintaining key areas across the site, including the restaurant, customer toilets, retail areas, staff areas and general public spaces.
We are currently considering morning and/or evening shifts, so there may be some flexibility around the working pattern depending on the right candidate’s availability. Weekend availability would be beneficial due to the nature of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining customer toilets to a consistently high standard
- Cleaning restaurant and customer-facing areas, including floors, surfaces, tables, skirtings, doors, glass and high-contact touchpoints
- Cleaning staff areas, back-of-house areas and general public spaces as required
- Restocking toilet rolls, hand towels, soap and other customer-use supplies where required
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
- Spotting areas that need attention and taking pride in keeping the site looking its best
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues, damage, spillages or stock shortages to management
- Supporting the wider team in maintaining a clean, organised and professional environment
- Following health and safety, hygiene and company procedures at all times
About You
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing a job properly
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working early mornings and/or evenings
- Positive, professional and respectful in manner
- Previous cleaning or commercial cleaning experience is preferred
- Experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, care homes, public venues or similar environments would be beneficial
- Able to work to a consistent standard in a busy customer-facing environment
- Willingness to follow systems, checklists and company procedures
