Animal Nursing Assistant – Full Time

Bruton Vets – Bruton, Somerset

Bruton Vets is seeking a motivated and compassionate Animal Nursing Assistant to join our supportive team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care, enjoys hands-on clinical work, and wants to support our Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and Veterinary Surgeons in delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Assist RVNs and Vets with daily nursing tasks and patient care

Support with animal handling, monitoring, feeding, and general husbandry

Prepare and clean equipment, clinical areas, and surgical spaces

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the practice

Support reception when required, including client communication and patient admissions

Ensure smooth day-to-day workflow under the guidance of RVNs

What We’re Looking For

Genuine passion for animal welfare

Ability to work calmly and confidently with a variety of animals

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn

Previous experience in an animal care or veterinary setting is helpful but not essential
