Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and respectful care. The position is paid and suitable for those committed to delivering high-quality health and social care services.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Support with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure a comfortable living environment
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals using excellent English language skills

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between care settings or clients’ homes
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail
