Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a vibrant, efficient, and welcoming food service environment. In this role, you will support the kitchen operations by assisting with meal and food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly to support chefs and kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including counters, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces
Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met
Support in serving meals to guests or customers in a timely and professional manner
Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients to prevent spoilage or contamination
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking is a must!
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if needed
