Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skilled Ground Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing essential ground maintenance tasks that ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. Your proactive approach and strong work ethic will contribute significantly to the successful completion of various landscaping, excavation, and site preparation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while making a tangible impact on our community spaces.

Duties

Assist with excavation, grading, and leveling to prepare sites for construction or landscaping projects
Operate basic hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently under supervision
Perform routine maintenance on grounds equipment to ensure optimal performance
Clear debris, remove weeds, and maintain cleanliness of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Support team members in setting up work zones, traffic control, and safety barriers
Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently during daily operations
Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete tasks on schedule and to high standards

Skills

Proven experience in ground work, landscaping, or construction support roles preferred
Ability to operate basic tools such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and power equipment safely
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
Knowledge of safety regulations related to ground work and construction sites
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly in a team-oriented setting

Pay: £13.50-£16.50 per hour
