Assistant Buyer (Material Planner) – Surfacing
Location: Head Office, Redditch
Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an Assistant Buyer (Material Planner) - Surfacing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day support to the Senior Materials Planner & Buyer for Surfacing, helping the function to successfully fulfil the end-to-end process of sourcing construction materials for building projects.
The Successful Applicant will:
- Meet the qualifications and experience requirements outlined below
- Hold English & Mathematics GCSE Grade 4/C, Level 2 Functional Skills, or equivalent
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Assisting with booking of material requirements for programmed works with relevant supplier and all associated administrative work.
o Assisting our Senior Materials Planner & Buyer to ensure that rates match orders and all administration is of the highest standard.
o Assisting with the ordering of asphalt orders to site works, ensuring that materials arrive when expected.
o Liaising with RM Contractors Customer Care team where required and focusing on any issues that may arise day-to-day.
o Update internal systems with orders where required.
Package:
o Contract Type: Permanent
o Weekly Hours: 07:30am to 16:30pm (We are open to discussing reasonable adjustments)
o Holiday Allowance: 23 days plus bank holidays, with additional holiday based on service. For part-time employees, holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
