We are seeking a FLT Driver/Yard Operative to work on bagging. This role is crucial for maintaining our yard operations, ensuring that materials are organized and accessible for efficient loading and delivery. The Yard Worker will play a key part in supporting our mission of providing exceptional service to builders' merchants.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the yard area, ensuring materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks related to yard maintenance.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and tools, reporting any issues promptly.
- Support the team with general maintenance tasks to keep the yard in optimal condition.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role or environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage but not required.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Rate of pay will start at £13.50 per hour
