We are a 9 hole golf club dedicated to providing an exceptional playing experience for our guests. Our course is known for its beautiful landscape, challenging design, and beautiful setting. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Golf Course Greenkeeper to join our dedicated greenkeeping crew and help maintain our course to the highest standards year-round.
- Turf Management: Mow, aerate, and top-dress key playing areas including greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
- Course Preparation: Prepare the course daily for play by changing holes, moving tee markers, and raking bunkers.
- Hazard Maintenance: Maintain and renovate course hazards, bunker edges, and local water features.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain specialist turf care machinery, including ride-on mowers and tractors.
- Environmental Care: Support ecological and wildlife habitat management across the estate.
- Irrigation Control: Monitor and adjust drainage and irrigation systems to maintain ideal soil moisture and plant health. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Requirements
- Previous experience in greenkeeping or sports turf management is highly valued.
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance (or equivalent) is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic apprentices.
- PA1 and PA6 safe pesticide spraying certificates are highly advantageous.
- Strong physical endurance and a genuine passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and flexible weekend hours on a rota basis.
- A valid UK driving licence is required for moving equipment around the site.
