Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to a dynamic organisation committed to safety and quality. The position involves working with diverse tools and technical schematics, providing essential support across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Diagnose faults using technical schematics and mechanical knowledge, then execute repairs efficiently.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
Perform heavy lifting as required to move parts or machinery components safely.
Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing operational issues promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with team members to ensure minimal downtime and optimise equipment performance.

Requirements

Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or related roles.
Strong understanding of schematics, assembly processes, and mechanical systems.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Prior experience in equipment repair within industrial or manufacturing environments is desirable.
Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Flexibility to work in a physically demanding environment while adhering to safety protocols.
