Job Title and Grade: On-Demand Catering Supervisor

Location: Colchester ,Essex University, Wivenhoe Park ,CO4 3SQ

Contract: On-Demand, part time, (0 hour contract)

Hours: Monday to Sunday (including evenings and weekends)

Salary: £13.80 per hour

Application closing date: Please note that this vacancy is being advertised on a rolling basis. Applications will be reviewed weekly, and interviews scheduled on a regular basis whilst the role continues to be advertised.

Purpose of job: To support the Assistant & Deputy Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the catering outlets

Duties of the Post:

The main duties of the post will include:

1. Organise the catering team: their tasks, schedules and information meetings

2. Promote a welcoming environment where colleagues, clients and customers receive great service.

3. Complying with all hygiene standards.

4. Staff supervision: recruitment, training, feedback, delegating tasks

5. Operating catering equipment.

6. Monitoring customer service levels

7. Ensure the quality of service and service provision

8. Maximise restaurant occupancy

9. Ensure on-going profitability and have knowledge of financial matters

10. Assist with increasing restaurant sales.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Department of catering/events or the Director of operations (Professional Services section) or their nominee.

These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.80 per hour
