Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant in our Purchasing / Production Administration team to be based at our manufacturing facility in Thetford, Norfolk.

Precision is a British independent manufacturer of professional refrigeration for foodservice and bar operators. Established in 2008, Precision operates globally with two separate manufacturing facilities, one in the UK and one in China.

No recruitment agencies please.

The Role

As Purchasing / Production Administration Assistant, this role involves:

Assisting with the purchasing and production admin functions within the business to ensure the company is working with the best partners and have the most efficient purchasing and production admin operations in place.
Responsibility of the Production, MRP, Purchasing, and Stock modules of our SAP Business One system:
Production: This involves creation and maintaining BOMs, raising production orders and production planning.
MRP: Maintaining master data with current lead times and prices so MRP can give us accurate recommendations.
Purchasing: Raising purchase orders, ensuring timely deliveries, and negotiating with suppliers for best terms.
Stock: Booking stock in, ensuring adequate stock levels and making sure stock levels are accurate through rolling component category stock counts.
Liaising with our Chinese factory for group component sourcing / purchasing.
Due to the nature of this role, a presence in the office in Thetford is required.
This role will report directly to the company’s Supply Chain / Production Administration Manager.

Experience & Qualification

At least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role.
A qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Prior in-depth experience of SAP Business One or similar ERP system is essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Logical reasoning, with a “can do attitude”.
Good organisational skills and be a problem solver.
Ability to manage a team.
