We're looking for a passionate and driven Meetings and Events Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Newcastle United Football Club. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional who loves building relationships, delivering exceptional experiences and turning enquiries into successful events.
As Meetings and Events Sales Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our sales operation, managing enquiries from initial contact through to event confirmation and delivery. You'll work closely with clients, suppliers and operational teams to ensure every event exceeds expectations while contributing to the venue's commercial success.
You'll play a key role in creating memorable experiences while helping drive sales growth across one of the most exciting event destinations in the North East.
We're looking for an enthusiastic sales professional with a passion for events and customer service.

What You'll Do:

Managing meeting and event enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking.

Building strong relationships with clients and delivering an outstanding customer experience throughout the sales journey.

Identifying customer needs and preparing tailored proposals and event solutions.

Planning and coordinating events, supporting clients every step of the way.

Preparing contracts, invoices and event documentation accurately and efficiently.

Conducting venue show rounds and showcasing the incredible facilities available at St. James' Park.

Maintaining accurate records and managing customer information through CRM systems.

Working collaboratively with operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery.

Supporting networking events, exhibitions and promotional activities to generate new business opportunities.

Contributing towards sales targets, conversion rates and business growth objectives.

What You Bring:

Experience within meetings and events sales, event coordination, hospitality sales or a similar customer-focused role.

A proven ability to manage enquiries and convert opportunities into successful bookings.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Outstanding customer service and relationship-building abilities.

Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

The ability to prioritise multiple projects and perform well under pressure.

Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities.

Confidence using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer data.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

A positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude.
