Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Kitchen and Bedroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and fitting of kitchen and bedroom units, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry, joinery, or related trades to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. The position is paid and involves working on various projects across residential properties, delivering quality results within specified timelines.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install kitchen and bedroom furniture units according to specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out fabrication and fitting tasks
- Ensure precise alignment and secure fixing of units, doors, drawers, and fittings
- Carry out minor carpentry, joinery, and masonry work as required during installations
- Perform plumbing or electrical work if necessary, adhering to safety standards
- Conduct construction painting or finishing touches to complete the installation process
- Handle heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring large units or materials into position
- Maintain a clean and organised work site throughout each project
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or related trades
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, plumbing, masonry, and electrical systems is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting processes
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various residential settings
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or construction trades are preferred but not essential
