Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently for school and school contract starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers along designated routes, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to community transportation services.

Responsibilities

Safely operate buses along scheduled routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring cleanliness
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts
Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance as needed and addressing any concerns promptly
Perform routine maintenance tasks or report any vehicle malfunctions to the maintenance team
Assist with loading and unloading passengers, including those with mobility challenges
Follow all safety protocols and driving regulations at all times

Qualifications

Valid D, D1 driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Valid CPC Card
Strong driving skills with experience in handling large vehicles such as lorries or buses
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances or extended periods
Prior experience in customer service or passenger transport is advantageous
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
