Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner - Commis to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering food orders efficiently and courteously, ensuring guests receive a seamless dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a vibrant restaurant environment, supporting the kitchen team and enhancing guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Collect prepared dishes from the kitchen promptly and accurately.
Deliver food orders to guests in a timely and professional manner, maintaining presentation standards.
Assist with basic food preparation and plating when required, supporting the culinary team.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
Provide exceptional guest services by addressing any special requests or concerns courteously.
Support delivery drivers with order handovers if necessary, ensuring smooth operations.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is advantageous.
Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Experience as a delivery driver or in courier services is beneficial but not essential.
Basic cooking or culinary experience can be an asset.
Friendly demeanour with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork.
Ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude during busy periods.
