We are recruiting for LGV Driver’s in our York Distribution Centre. This is a temporary, full-time opportunity on a 6-month fixed term contract

Your impact
Ultimately, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of Nestle goods around the UK.

Safely and efficiently operate HGV vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while adhering to delivery schedules.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.

Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour.

Loading and unloading goods.

Completing paperwork and documentation.
-
Ensuring that all necessary safety regulations are followed.

Working as part of a team to deliver the best quality service.
Your ingredients for success
-
Full HGV C+E (class1) licence – preferably clean.
-
Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards.
-
Strong knowledge of Drivers hours, regulations, and Working time directive.

Excellent geographical knowledge and ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and other navigation tools.

Ideally previous experience in a customer facing driving role (not essential).

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
-
Ability to effectively navigate common IT systems, applications, and platforms.
