Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our Reception Team at Winchester Urgent Care Clinic.

As a key member of the team, you will help provide an efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors and clinical colleagues. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the smooth running of the clinic.

Working closely with the Reception Supervisor and Service Delivery Manager, you will help ensure patients receive a seamless service, while completing a range of reception and administrative duties.

Hours: Friday 18:15 – 23:15 and 1 in 4 Sundays 13:15 – 18:15

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring the electronic booking system and highlighting workload concerns
Booking patients in on arrival
Following up patients who did not attend appointments
Managing expectations of patients in the waiting area
Answering telephone enquiries promptly, helpfully and courteously while maintaining confidentiality
Supporting reception processes and ensuring records are maintained accurately
Supporting the management team with public relations
Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and safe
Logging and managing medical equipment and drug boxes appropriately
Accurately logging prescriptions in and out
Maintaining stationery supplies
Keeping mandatory training up to date

About You

You will have:

The ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy when supporting patients and clinical staff from a range of backgrounds
A good standard of literacy
The ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Previous experience in Reception, Customer Service or Administration (highly desirable)
Previous experience of Adastra (desirable)
