Working hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 07:25 - 15:55pm & Friday 07:30 - 13:30
Responsibilities
Organisation and Quality
- Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, supporting the management and distribution of resources allocated to the team.
- Identification and mitigation of project risk, advising the Production Supervisor where time related changes are required
- Ensure all engineering drawing instruction are complied with, seeking clarification when required.
- All operations are to be completed in accordance with good workshop practice you are to comply with ECS procedures to maintain ECS standards.
- Ensure collation and completion of all documents, including ECS yellow route cards are available for traceability.
Health, Safety and Environment
- To ensure Health & Safety Regulations are followed including the correct PPE is always worn.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated within date, and in good operating order. Ensure operators are trained to use the equipment provided.
- Ensure correct PPE is worn as indicated in the supplied Risk Assessment.
People Management
- Day to day supervision of allocated teams including ensuring staff time sheets completion and accuracy, absenteeism, completing the return-to-work process as well as appraisals, 1-2-1’s, probations, annual appraisals as required.
- Ensure ECS policy & procedures are followed as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Ensure team members receive the appropriate training, and manage, support and develop your team as appropriate.
- Any other duties assigned in line with the scope and seniority of the role
Finance
- Be aware of the financial objectives and constraints of Projects in your control, ensuring completion to agreed timescales, quality and maximum profitability. This will include overtime control and resource management.
Experience
- Ideally an NVQ or equivalence in the core role
- Experience of managing/leading a team in a similar environment
- Good communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.
- Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels
- Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
- Ability to introduce new ideas and drive improvements with scope of the role
- Flexible and willing to assist in all areas for the smooth running of your team and the department.
