Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our vibrant food service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and food presentation. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a busy restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area throughout shifts
Serve customers promptly and courteously, assisting with their orders as needed
Manage stock levels of ingredients, notifying management when supplies are low
Upsell additional items, such as drinks or snacks, to maximise sales opportunities
Follow time management practices to ensure orders are completed efficiently during busy periods
Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning utensils and equipment

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant environment is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control
Experience in kitchen operations or culinary arts is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
