Full job description

Nursery Lunch Cover

Permanent | 16 hours per week | Monday – Friday - £12.71 per hour ( working hours - 11:00am - 14:30pm)

It would suit a candidate who could drive- due to the location of the nursery.

This converted barn building is set in a beautiful rural location surrounded by fields, this setting boasts large outdoor play environments suitable for all weather.

Our nursery is a converted barn building which is set in a beautiful rural location; where children from birth to 5 years can explore, learn, and develop through the many activities and resources available to promote learning through play. We love the great outdoors, and our nursery features open spaces for our children, they also experience outdoor learning in our bespoke forest school facility.

You will need:

Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
Over 6 months experience of working with children - essential
Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable

Requirements

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent.
Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
