Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Semi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of building and maintenance tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects across different trades. This role offers valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop a broad skill set within the construction industry. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, fabrication, and other trades as required
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks
Support the installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and systems on-site
Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure quality standards and safety protocols are maintained
Prepare work areas by cleaning and organising tools and materials
Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times

Experience

Prior experience or training in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Basic understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
Previous experience in labouring roles within the construction or maintenance sectors is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates willing to develop their skills

Pay: £100.00-£130.00 per day
